I'm going to be out of town when this arrives in Boston, but some of you will have a chance to see The Singing Revolution earlier. It sounds like an inspiring movie about the role of song in Estonia's deliverance from Communism.

I saw it a couple of weeks ago when it opened here in PDX. Alas, it's not as much about music as the trailer would have you believe.
It's an inspiring story and I'm glad I saw it, but the role of music in the story is not as central as it seems like. It's an important part, certainly, but the trailer made it sound like "how Estonia was freed by the power of music" and that's not how it really comes off in the film. At least, that's my take.
