I didn't know they believe God the Father has a separate immortal body. Makes the Trinity pretty problematic for them I'm sure...
I'm not sure that "misconceptions" is quite the right word. Some of the points addressed in the questions are just embarrassing-sounding details of Mormon doctrine and scripture.
The responses from the LDS spokesman are meant to be reassuring, but since the LDS Church doesn't mean the same thing by "Son of God" as orthodox Christians do, the formulaic answers serve to dodge and downplay the radical differences between orthodox Christian doctrine and LDS teaching.
In my experience with Mormon missionaries, the only part of the Nicene Creed they had a problem with was the "one in being with the Father" (consubstantialem). Those Council fathers sure knew what they were about!
