I think you misread the article, John.

Fergus Falls, long known for its Scandinavian heritage, also has church services that include polka music. First Lutheran Church held a polka worship this past Sunday with performers coming from the town of Milan, southeast of Ortonville.

I didn't read anywhere where polka music was being used in Catholic masses.

It's there, Tony; just keep reading.

John, now you've got me making up bad Mass ordinaries in my head. At least some of the movements are coming out as waltzes rather than polkas.

"In heaven there is no beer, that's why we drink wine here.... "I don't want her, you can have her, she's too orthodox for me....." and other great polka hits coming to a parish near you. HA!By the way, I am allowed to poke fun at polkas as I am of Polish extraction. Like my father before me,I think only Poles are allowed to make fun of Poles, otherwise - Pow, right in the kisser!
