Let's count this as progress on the science-religion front

Some bonehead editor working for NASA, a 24-year-old journalism major, decided to pick a quarrel with a scientist in the agency, demanding that he use the word "theory" every time he mentioned the "Big Bang".

Perhaps he thought he was defending the concept of a world created by God, but that kind of incompetent help we don't need. I'm pleased to see the guy's been exposed for lying about his college degree and has hit the sidewalk.

Well - what cheeses me more about this is that he was a political appointee. The whole quid pro quo of working on a campaign bothers the stuffing out of me - particularly when you get bone-headed blowhards like this who reflect poorly on the people who appointed them.

The Big Bang has traditionally been attacked by anti-christians as being too close to Genesis. I'm not aware of any christian denomination that is against the Big Bang. Until I hear of one, something isn't quite right with this narrative.
