Canada Continues to Mistreat its Vets

This makes me sick. Our government invites vets (many of eighty years old) to the capital for Remembrance Day, then warehouses them in substandard (reportedly condemned) decrepit housing.

This is shameful, heartbreaking, stupid, myopic, etc., etc., etc. They should be wined and dined at Rideau Hall -- God knows it's big enough! Also, to add insult to injury, there are several cases of vets being denied access to GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS !!!!!! to sell poppies. Makes you want to throw a history book at them! No, make that a grenade. Idiots!!!!!

Hey, Pete, don't be so hard on your government -- if the vets were waiting for a hospital bed in Canada, they'd still have another six months to go. (Assuming the authorities didn't think they were too old to get health care.)

A people that dishonors the men who risk their live to defend their freedoms is doomed.
