I had a college friend who had a bumper sticker (or maybe it was a devotional picture ... I honestly forget) which on the left had the words "Question Authority" with some sort of symbol, and on the right was a pair of clasped hands in prayer and the words "Ask God."
At the other end, I once saw film director John Singleton on Entertainment Tonight (or some similar show) wearing a cap saying "Question the Knowledge," which strikes me as complete asininity -- going beyond even what the sig. you saw points out about the better-known slogan.
