Rove Madness

Someone tell me if I'm nuts, but aren't the dems all over Bush to fire Rove now, because if the grand jury doesn't return an indictment this becomes a non-story?

Am I crazy?

Well, unless it becomes that much more evidence of the vast right wing conspiracy . . .

A conspiracy so vast its very absence is a presence.

Knowing how much damage Rove has done to "the dems" makes it very easy to visualize their eager anticipation for his demise in any way possible. But.. isn't it a taste of the same "conspiracy paranoia" to consider that the dems are trying to get the job done before a grand jury returns what they don't want to hear?

Images of a pot and a kettle are dancing in my head..

Remember those stirring words of Ronald Reagan about consigning the Soviet Union to the "ash heap of history"? If he were with us today, I'm sure he might say the same about the Democratic Party.

At Yorktown, the retreating British marched away to the tune, "The World Turned Upside Down", and shortly the Democrats will have to slink away as the whole basis for this affair has been turned upside-down.

Instead of Rove maliciously leaking the identity of a covert agent to Novak, but now it turns out Rove learned about Plame, a non-covert CIA employee, from Novak, and used the info honestly to steer a Time reporter away from some misleading speculations.

There was no crime, not even an ethical violation, and the Dems, seeing their foe acquitted by the facts, are frantically crying: "Off with his head!"

Let them.

Ha! The Beltway Boys used an amusing term for the Democrats' fuss: "Rove Rage".
