As part of my M.A. thesis project, I have to write a companion paper to the Web site I created, Open Source Shakespeare. I finished the draft of the paper, and although the citations need to be cleaned up and I have to add a few more paragraphs, it is substantially finished. I would love to get some feedback on it — in particular, tell me if the writing is clear, as I am taking pains to keep it as simple as possible. Coward, I particularly invite you to comment, either in public or via e-mail.

P.S. This is also an explanation as to why I have not been blogging much lately, except for my rant about Fairfax County taxes.
I didn't realize that opensourceshakespeare was your creation. I just read a "hunk" of your paper. I am really impressed with the effort you put into this. I read the first 25 pages and looked at the various screen shots from the web site. When I think of the variant spellings of all those words, it makes my mind spin. Although I was an English major, undergraduate, I don't feel competent to critize what you wrote. It struck me as a well written straight forward narrative of your project. I kind of like a Shakespearian Marine.
best of fortunes with this project of yours.

PS--I used to go to a TS Eliot site like your Shakespear site, just for the fun of it.
Dear Sir,
A comments box does not seem to be a good forum for textual criticism of so complex a document and argument. If you would like more extensive comments, please drop me an e-mail I will be happy to forward to you some observations.
Thanks. And thanks for the opportunity to read so interesting a document.
shalom,
