At least our health-care system is universal!

Pete,

I know things are bad in Canada, but don't you think you're overdoing it here? After all, the name of the blog is Catholic Light, not Canuck Blight.

C'mon, Coward. One of the fun things about this sight is that each of the posters has his own set of pet obsessions, about which he's uniquely well-informed. Now, when Pete starts talking about the Marines or Eric about Canadian health care, I'll join the lynch mob.

It's not Pete talking about his pet issues that bothers me; it's his making five such posts in a row (at least some of which were cross-posted to another blog) that I object to. Besides, I really wanted to use the line, "the name of the blog is Catholic Light, not Canuck Blight" :)

Clarification: By in a row I mean without anyone else posting anything in between, not just Pete not posting on another topic in between.

When I was in Montreal a few years back, the big issue in the papers was a shortage of passover matzoh with French labels. This is a sign that a cultural tradition is dying- that it has to be propped up with mean spirited legislation.
