Music Today

My choir did a great job today. We did the Proulx arrangement of the hymn tune "Thaxed" and the Rutter "God Be In My Head." It's amazing what a group of amateur singers can produce for the glory of God.

I love that "God be in my head" - we have done it a capella and it really is so reverent! But what is "Thaxed"?

Thaxted, isn't it? You mean the Holst? "O God, beyond all praising?" I wish I had been there; that's one of my favorites!

Despite having a choir direct once yell, "John Rutter is crap!" (he was upset about other stuff), I do like the "God Be In My Head".

Yes - Brian, thaxted. I can't spell.

Should I e-mail you the next time the choir is going to do that?

What? Who?
