Expert stem cell testimony

As I was walking through the halls of the Nameless Entity that I work for, I passed by a TV tuned to CNN. The caption under the talking head read "STEM CELL RESEARCH," and the head was saying something about the quality of stem cell lines available to researchers. The head belonged to Mr. Jennifer Aniston, a.k.a. Brad Pitt, one of the world's foremost cell biologists.

God help us all.

Are you sure it wasn't "When Actresses Attack?"

I took Cell Biology back in the late '80s. Granted, that was a while ago, but even if I dug up the updated edition of the textbook we used, I'm guessing that there wouldn't be any biblio refs to anything by Mr. Aniston-Pitt.

It isn't surprising to see an actress claiming to be a scientific expert for the latest glittering evil; Hollywood's gullibility for such things seems to be limitless. Pray to St. Thomas Aquinas that viewers will use their faculty of reason and reject such advocacy of killing.

Prayers and blessings to all at Catholic Light. I'm in a heavy workload situation right now and can't post much--but still pop my head in to read what's going on.
