Whoopi gets canned

I'M A BIG LOSER!
-link via Drudge

"I'm a big loser." What a clever play on words! But Whoopi is a big loser - she got canned by Slim-Fast for her offensive remarks at a fund raiser for the Democrats last week. I have it on good authority that Whoopi has on Oprah's pants in this photo.

Good for slim-fast.

I'm sure they'll be called bigoted, intollerant republicans for their action.

"...she got canned by Slim-Fast..."

Nice play on words. :-)

Don't recall where I read it, but isn't the owner of Slim-Fast a pretty avid Bush-basher himself?

If so, then it isn't censorship, just hypocrisy -- punishing his paid endorser for saying something he didn't have the guts to say publicly himself.

Not that what she said about the President wasn't pretty execrable, but I got a kick out of her calling John Edwards "Boy" over and over.

Maybe she could play Sapphire on a remake of the great "Amos and Andy"?? That would be a suitable penance for her disgusting display of crudity at the lovefest last weekend.....Kerry and Edwards should apologize...but the dems never apologiize.....am I sounding too republican, Sal??

Or she could see if the Aunt Jemima company needs a new spokesperson??

peter:

I'm not sure Aunt Jemima jokes and Sapphire references are the best way to make fun of La Whoopi making a total ass of herself.

It's not a bit racist to make fun of Whoppi Goldberg for speaking her mind against something she thinks is wrong, or of Oprah Winfrey, either, for being fat. That is some true Catholic Light, and thank you for sharing that charitable insight. I live in the South, and I don't think that's a bit funny.

Whoopi is a vabid pro-abort. Glad she got canned.

What made that pin-head Ed call Miss Goldberg "Whoppi"? Could it possibly be the fruit of unsuccessfully suppressed bigotry? A habit of puerile cracks about fat people?

Tu quoque.

About "Aunt Jemima", I'm with Victor on this one. Besides, the figure of Aunt Jemima was that of a dignified, capable Southern Black woman, and Whoopi doesn't deserve the honor to portray that role.

Its not censorship or hypocrisy - its business.

What? Who?

On life and living in communion with the Catholic Church.
