Wildlife in the Schultz Yard

No, the Johnson kids are not playing in my yard.

We have a couple of Barred Owls living in our trees. They sound exactly like the owls here. I'll try to get a photo of the ones in my yard.

It's pretty cool to see them flying around the yard. Mating season is March - August so we'll keep a look out for the wee-ones.

And yes, this is another good reason for the Johnson's to come over.

We live next to our county fair grounds, and they have several pairs of screech and barn owls nesting there...quite a racket at times, especially in the evenings!

It would be a lot easier to spot the Johnson kids in your backyard. They'd be the ones being herded by your dog.

I was going to make a comment about "mating season" at the Schultz compound, but I will not.

Well, I will tell you that mating is quite different for owls than Schultzes...

I just think it's cool that you have owls in your backyard! Owls! How cool is that?!

Yep. That's what I think. And they really do sound exactly like the Barred Owls on that web site.

What? Who?

On life and living in communion with the Catholic Church.
