I have never used the words "What-not" in conversation.

It's not a conversation, it's a statement. John loves making statements. He's always pictured himself as Moses on the mountain, coming down to us and saying, "Thou shalt not make graven images or what-not."

Sometimes, Eric, we contemplative types are just moved to share the insights of our interior lives with a brief word that can serve as the opening for reflection, meditation, and what-not.
