Catholic Light breaks records!

...its own traffic record, that is. And I'm not talking about anything connected to the DMV. No, we're talking Web traffic. Here are the stats:

Total page views: 32,639
Total visits: 18,019
Average page views per day: 1,087
Average visits per day: 600
Top countries: Italy (!), U.K., Australia, Canada, Netherlands

Even discounting 30% of the traffic as bots or Catholic Light contributors -- probably a high estimate -- that means about 400 people visit the site every day. Not too bad for a little blog like ours. Break out the holy water! Let's get CRAZY!

Woo-hoo!

Ciao, Italy, we love you! Welcome to Catholic Light Italia!

On the other hand, really they're only 1% of the traffic -- but what the heck; we're not fussy about these details.

On the other other hand, really we are fussy about details: there wouldn't be much to blog about otherwise, hm?

I think a field study needs to be taken in order to make sure we are adequately addressing the needs of our Italian visitors. Venezia, Roma, Firenze - here I come!

You just had to spell those cities the Italian way, didn't you?

We should expect no less from our opera man!

(As distinguished from Opera Man.)

Boun giorno da Italia. I am a priest assigned to graduate studies at the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome who lives at the Casa Santa Maria (the graduate studies house of the North American College), and I visit your site once or twice a day as part of my effort to keep up with things back home. I suspect that some of the other priests in the Casa may drop by from time to time also, and that that might explain some of your Italian popularity. Anyway, thanks for the interesting commentary and your extensive links pages.
Ciao,
Fr. Stan

Thanks for reading us, Father Pondo. I'm glad we have some visitors from the NAC. A NAC priest arranged for my wife and I to get a papal blessing while we were on our honeymoon in Rome, something for which we are eternally grateful.

What? Who?

On life and living in communion with the Catholic Church.
