Not bad at all

This Sunday, St. Matthew Cathedral in Washington celebrates the completion of restoration work with a rededication Mass. The results are, a friend says, "stunning".

Actually, I didn't mind the big net so much.

I must plug the cathedral's Schola, conducted by a friend and former colleague. If you're in town and want to hear polyphony in a space with a 7-8 second reverb plus one of the best organs in town, this is the place to go.

It's nice to hear of a beautiful old cathedral being RESTORED, not REDECORATED to fit modern trends and fads. The final results look terrific! Truly a "House of God".

What? Who?
