Father Benedict Groeschel at the Shrine

Father Benedict Groeschel, CFR was presider and homilist today at the noon Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. I had the blessing of attending the Mass and the book signing afterwards. I got my copy of Listening at Prayer signed. Here are some photos. Click on the images to see them full-size.

nice pics!

At 4:30 pm today EWTN broadcast a Memorial Mass for Bob Hope from the Shrine and Fr. Groeschel was seen as one of the concelebrants. I wish I could have watched the Mass-hopefully they will rerun it.

oh, I so wanted to go! Tell us about the homily!

I saw the homily at the BH Memorial Mass. It was given by Cardinal McCarrick and it was very, very disappointing! Uninspiring, to say the least. It was the first homily I've seen by McCarrick and maybe it was just a bad day for him???

No kneeling by the parishioners during the Consecration or Communion at the National Basilica. Weird.

What? Who?

On life and living in communion with the Catholic Church.
