Robots in your pants, marriage in Space, and a row at the House.
Little robots in your pants - cnn.com
Dockers recently came out with a new brand of pants, the Go Khakis, which promise to keep your legs stain-free using revolutionary nanotechnology.
The good news is those aren't robots repelling stains and keeping your pants safe for democracy. Read the transcript of the phone call with Dockers customer service. Funny stuff!
Cosmonaut may tie the knot in space
Russian cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko, now on a mission at the international space station, had made plans to wed next month in the first-ever marriage from space. His bride, Ekaterina Dmitriev, would remain firmly on Earth.
That doesn't sound particularly sacremental.
Police called during House meeting
Debate on a bill that would increase the amount of money Americans can put into retirement accounts and change some of the rules dealing with those plans erupted into a near-brawl in a House committee meeting.
"I think it was entirely appropriate for the chairman of the committee to call the sergeant at arms and the Capitol Police," McInnis said. "I considered that a bodily threat and I fully intended to defend myself. To calm this down -- that is why the chairman did that."Rep. Kenny Hulshof, a Missouri Republican who sits on the committee, read what he described as a transcript of the meeting.
In it, he quoted Stark as saying to McInnis, "You little fruitcake, you little fruitcake, I said you are a fruitcake."
And, according a Republican leadership aide, the 72-year-old Stark called Thomas a vulgarity.
Fruitcake, anyone?
"You may now beam down a kiss to the bride."
