The music director at our new church is a good pianist and sight-reader, but isn’t all that familiar with the music of the Catholic liturgical tradition. Tonight, while she was working with the ladies of the Preces Cantatae choir on a setting of the Magnificat, she looked at the Latin text and asked, “By the way, what does this mean?”

Is she actually Catholic?
a ways to go, yes, but hopefully she’s open to learning.
If she was raised in a hippy-dippy parish, she may have never learned anything diffent (speaking from experience). With the grace of God, you all will be able to show her the beauty that she has missed in her life so far!!
This is wonderful – someone new who hopefully will be on fire for the full beauty of the Church.
