CANTON, Ohio — There are 490 female students at Timken High School, and 65 are pregnant, according to a recent report in the Canton Repository….
According to the Canton Health Department, statistics through July show that 104 of the 586 babies born to Canton residents in Aultman Hospital and Mercy Medical Center had mothers between 11 and 19.
Let that sink in: nevermind that the overwhelming majority of them are unmarried, there was at least one 11-year-old girl who had a baby in the last year — and that fact wasn’t even remarkable to the reporter.

Couldn’t the headline writers come up with something less…ummm…open to ridicule for a subtitle than “School To Unveil Three-Prong Program” ?

More condoms! More condoms! If we only had heard about using condoms! If only condoms were available! Need to get them to the 9-10 year olds since 11 year olds are already having sex – it’s only natural – can’t stop nature. I’m pretty sure this will be the rallying cry.
I’m pretty sure we won’t hear about possible statuatory rape, parental involvement in their children’s lives,the lack of love that these young girls feel so they substitute sex in order to feel anything and have babies so someone will love them unconditionally.
God help us as I fear we’re heading to hell faster than I ever thought.
What bothers me is how little I am shocked by it.
What bugs me is the attitude of some of the mothers of these pregnant children. I remember a 13 y/o pregnant girl I cared for – her mother was not in the least bit upset or distressed by it. Though maybe that might have been a blessing in disguise, since it meant that she didn’t coerce her daugher into an abortion.
