Ephesians 4:29-32
Never let evil talk pass your lips; say only the good things men need to hear, things that will really help them. Do nothing that will sadden the Holy Spirit with whom you were sealed against the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, all passion and anger, harsh words, slander, and malice of every kind. I spent every Sunday of RCIA “breaking open the word” with my fellow candidates. This involved talking about what the word meant to us. Very protestant, it seemed to me. Hated it, I did. I had spent about 26 years being protestant and wanted a break from that, thank-you-very-much.
I appreciate that first comment….I entered the Church from…hold your breath….Unitarianism…………helium balloons at Easter and lots of kewl things like that…..and , yes, much breaking of the bread and scriptures (all of them)……..fortunately I did it without RCIA…….
