RC – Did you see WHY we were getting so many hits from them?
I don’t know if you’re talking about referrals from the domain or visits from someone using them as an ISP, but my IT-guy husband told me that when I was getting 20 hits a day from what looked like one person (on a barely existent and rarely updated site,) my site was probably on some sort of feed reader or other program that automatically checks a bunch of selected sites.
I think they were running some software on their site to pick up our headlines and display them as links on their home page. It’s a nice idea.
The only problems are (a) they did it too often, like every minute instead of every 20 minutes; and (b) they appear to have stopped building their site in February. There’s no point in using up our bandwidth just to feed data to an inactive site that nobody is reading.
Well you have to admit that is flattering!
