“As an expression of your penitence, I want you to undertake a pilgrimage: it will be arduous and sometimes unpleasant, but the sufferings we bear willingly are a source of great graces also.”

  1. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

  2. It feels so very, very cold. and dark. cold and dark and accompanied by an acoustic guitar, a bass and an upright piano. I want my mommy.

  3. Now that I’ve had a chance to clear my head, I am trying to decide what would be worse:
A trip where the music of Haugen and Joncas is played over and over again…
Or a trip where everyone in the tour group is head-over-heels in love w/ Haugenlieder and Joncasjingles…
    O the humanity…

  4. RC,
I just noticed the time stamp on your post. Thankfully I didn’t click on the link until morning. Were you trying to give people nightmares? ;-)

  5. What a nightmare! I wonder why it is that they can have morning prayer every day, but can’t fit in daily Mass? Also, is Father Joncas allergic to his Roman collar?

  6. It is actually sponsored by the Greek Othodox hierarchy to show the faithful what happens when musical instruments are introduced into the Divine Liturgy. I’m sure it will be a lesson they won’t need to hear twice!
