It feels so very, very cold. and dark. cold and dark and accompanied by an acoustic guitar, a bass and an upright piano. I want my mommy.
Can we sneak away from the group once we get to Greece, or would that invalidate the penance?
Now that I’ve had a chance to clear my head, I am trying to decide what would be worse:
A trip where the music of Haugen and Joncas is played over and over again…
Or a trip where everyone in the tour group is head-over-heels in love w/ Haugenlieder and Joncasjingles…

What a nightmare! I wonder why it is that they can have morning prayer every day, but can’t fit in daily Mass? Also, is Father Joncas allergic to his Roman collar?
What about the third of the “3 cheesy H’s”, Bob Hurd? Couldn’t he make it?

My lovely wife says this sounds like the beginning of a Malachi Martin novel. It’s a shame that the title Hostage to the Devil is already taken.
Maybe it’s a secret plot to ditch them and the kind of people who like their music on some penal colony…let’s all hope for the best.
