Lord Jesus, protect the soldiers and Marines who are fighting the enemies of peace. Save the people of Iraq from the wolves who seek to dominate them. Pour out your wrath on the bloodthirsty men who kill and terrify the innocent. Have mercy on their souls, but crush them utterly, and may their humiliation lead the wicked to repent their evil deeds.

Amen.
Amen. Awesome prayer. Recognizes and appeals to God for the need for justice and strength against the wicked, but the genuine desire for true repentance and acceptance of God’s grace.
Too bad a lot of people out there these days go either to one extreme or another: wanting complete annihilation of our military foes or wanting to put flowers in their AK-47s.
