In February ’02, St. Mary’s Catholic Community in Rockledge, FL, dedicated its new church building, the work of “kitsch” designer Michael Graves.
It got a fair amount of attention at the time, and deservedly so.
Since then, more new photos have been added to the parish website, including this one. It looks like they’ve struck oil under the labyrinth! |
|
But in spite of the parish slogan, to find a building that is “something beautiful for God”, you’ll have to look at their first parish church, dating to 1917. Incidentally, here’s something Graves did for the Archdiocese of Newark. |
