I live in the safest Liberal riding in Canada, I think. The Conservative got about 18percent of the vote, which was, relatively speaking, fantastic.
I’m very glad that Harper won, although it was closer than it should have been. He may not be able to get much done, with a minority government, but the real benefit is what he won’t do: legalize polygamy, impose a national daycare plan, and strengthen the Charter of Rights and Freedoms (which is pretty much the opposite of what is sounds like)by eliminating the use of the “notwithstanding” clause.
That the Liberals did as well as they did, given their blatant corruption and pathetic campaign, is, frankly, a disgrace.
Any commentary?
