Even we at the indult Mass in Boston have a little cheese in our musical repertoire: an arrangement of Haec dies that sounds like the music from a spaghetti commercial: (page 1, 2).

It’s not just Allegro!
It’s Allegro Maestoso!
For those of us who don’t read music: Which spaghetti commercial? The Prince one with Anthony running through the streets of the North End? (How would “HEY AN-thony!” be rendered in chant?)
It’s a cheery, bouncy march.
Anybody want to make a MIDI file of it?
Is it Beefaroni? It seems vaguely familiar, but the brand name escapes me.
Poor Richard! We had this one at our indult Mass. Yum!
Don’t worry, Bryan. Our schola sang the proper gradual, all right. The combined choir also sang that march version at the end of Mass.
I ought to post the Vidi Aquam we sometimes do, which I think of as a football fight song.
