I kid you not. The Liberals up here are trying to have President Bush charged with War Crimes when he visits this week. (Canadian conservatives give Delta Force backed up by the NY State National Guard about 1:35 hrs to bust the Pesident out if the Canadian gov’t were stupid enough to follow through.) While this seems silly enough, the lawyers behind this effort are now threatening reporters who provide unbiased commentary as well.
Speaking of which, I’ll be at a pro-Bush rally in Ottawa this coming Tuesday. You can check out FreeDominion.ca for the information. If you don’t see a blog entry from me by Wednesday at noon, it probably means the Velvet Curtain had Canadian pro-Bush protesters arrested for thought crimes.

I can see someone on the Democratic Underground saying something like this about now:
“And you KNOW that (censored) fascist coward Martin won’t do it. Everyone knows that Herr Cheney’d nuke Ottawa within minutes of Bushitler’s arrest. He’d be able to kill millions of people, enrich Halliburton, and officially become Dictator of the Free World™ all at once.”
The fascist reference vis-a-vis PM Martin would of course be based on his expelling that MP that said he could go to hell.
Thanks for being a voice of reason, Pete. In 20 years, people will consider Bush at least an above-average president, and everyone will wonder why so many people hated him.
I wonder, though, if his entry to Canada might not be barred because he has a DUI in hs past. I’ve known others who couldn’t get across the border for that reason.
I don’t think we’d lose this time, and I don’t know if we’d leave until we’d established a free republic north of International Falls.
