In its new Kids Pak, the former cookie falls victim to a fruit roll-up, and the soft drink is deep-sixed for a 100% juice carton. The sandwich remains the same. All the major fast foodies are testing improved kids meals, but none has gone national yet.

a fruit roll-up? They might as well just put in candy, there really is not very much fruit in those things at all. Why not just stick with a whole-wheat oatmeal raisin cookie? But that wouldn’t seem as healthy, I guess.
I have never been to a fast-food restaurant that wouldn’t sub a milk or a juice in for the soft drink (except maybe Subway, because in the past they didn’t carry a lot of that.)
Dosen’t fruit juice contain as much sugar as a Coke?
Fruit juice is better than soda ONLY because it contains useful vitamins and minerals, while soda is empty.
However, drinking water and eating fruit is much, much healthier, because you get more vitamins/minerals, less sugar, and fiber.
