Actually, Archbishop Rigali is more of a shoo-in than Bishop O’Malley is. The powers that be may have Bishop Sean sit out a round so that the mess in Boston is well and truly cleaned up and doesn’t cast a shadow over the honor when it does come.
Just so they don’t steal my Archbishop to replace Abp. Rigali in St. Louis; let them take, say, Bishop Gregory of Belleview instead.
