The Replacements?

Here’s a reminder of the oldest serving bishop-ordinaries in the US. According to canon law, bishops offer their resignation to the Pope after they reach the age of 75, so eventually we can look forward to news of their successors.

  1. As far as I know, Cardinal Justin Rigali of Philadelphia, presented his resignation and Pope Benedict XVI had asked him to stay a bit longer.

  2. Oh wow. I had no idea Abp. Beltran was over 75. Time sure flies! My dream replacements are either Bishop Anthony Taylor, who was ordained in Oklahoma, or just make Father Shane Tharp the bishop. He’s awesome.
